PURPOSE: The purpose of this grant is to encourage drama therapists early in their careers to develop and conduct workshops and projects outside of the established venues that will enhance their reputation and increase their employment prospects. For instance, a drama therapy demonstration project, workshop or time-limited group for a potential employer may lead to full time or part-time employment at that agency.
ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible, the applicant must be a Registered Drama Therapist, not on the faculty of an approved or alternative training drama therapy program, and not presenting the workshop or project in association with one of these programs or at a regional or national conference.
Priority will be given to beginning professionals and those who live and work in areas in which drama therapy is not a well-known modality.
