PURPOSE: The purpose of the Research Grant for Drama Therapy Professionals is to encourage research in the field of Drama Therapy.

ELIGIBILITY: To be eligible for this Grant, the applicant must show professional experience in empirical testing and investigation utilizing standard and/or Drama Therapy measurement methods. If the applicant does not possess the expertise in drama therapy, they could partner with others possessing that expertise. Likewise, if the applicant does not possess expertise in empirical testing, but has expertise in drama therapy, they could partner with others who possess that expertise.

The research may be qualitative, quantitative or both. This research could be for a proposed new project or for refunding an existing project which shows promise.

While recognizing the importance of investigation of the artistic processes and the aesthetic impact of Drama Therapy, the Grant Committee encourages research on the clinical process and/or demonstratable behavioral, attitudinal, and/or affective outcomes of Drama Therapy.
